Since I’m a fan of giving Apple free ideas (as shown here) I’ve decided to give them one last idea and unless they hire me this is the last freebie! Next time I’m charging for my intellectual property!
So often I’m surfing a website on my computer and then need to run out for whatever reason while I’m still busy reading something. Now I’m also usually surfing some website that has an incomprehensible string of alpha-numeric characters as an address and is near impossible to get back to that website easily. My idea is quite simple but imagine if I could click a button and send the website to my iPhone. This will allow me to read the site later on in the day. I know I could theoretically email myself the link but it would be better if it went automatically from Safari Mac to Safari iPhone. Apple can synchronise your contacts through MobileMe so why not sites you are surfing?
This is clever for three reasons. The first is that I came up with it. The second is that it’s an excellent time saver and the third is that if it requires the user to use Safari it will improve Apple’s market share in the browser market. Since Safari is available for Windows and Mac this is the perfect solution.

Can you not synchronise your bookmarks?
You can synchronise but it’s a mission to find an iPod cable, plug it in, wait for iTunes to load and then have to wait for the phone to sync. Wireless would be much easier.
If you have a MobileMe account it will synchronize your Contacts, Calendars, and Bookmarks wirelessly.
At first glance the pricing seems a little steep, but given that you get 20GB of online storage, incremental backups of your documents & settings to your iDisk, and synchronization of the above-mentioned to your iPhone / iPod Touch and other Macs, I think it’s worth the cost.
