I agree with your point about "if you don't like it then don't buy it".

The following is just some personal opinion / experience / trivia.

Personally as someone who has had to recover from a pornography addiction let me emphatically state that bare breast... or indeed even something "harmless" like FHM is the start of a pornography addiction. When you start feeding your eyes and mind on that stuff you inevitably want more (this is obviously worse for some than others). I haven't seen the photos (I obviously won't buy) and I don't know the claims this Christian group makes. I speak only from my personal journey and those that have journeyed it with me.

I'd suggest you do some research into abuse associated with pornography. It is very broad from the producers of porn, to the actresses to the viewers. No-one is unscathed.

The answer to your last question (without diving into religious debate which no-one enjoys) is that if you read the genesis account God does not want us to be shamed by our bodies. Sin entering the world causes our shame. It is also sin that leads to lust. Not Gods fault... not his plan. In fact the are whole passages from Song of Songs that are "porno" is their description and even allude to oral sex.

It's just one of those things that has its place. I enjoy an awesome wild sex life with my wife and we really enjoy nudity in our private moments with each other.

Pornography does not build positively into peoples lives. Many (especially the porn stars) are completely devastated by it.

Some (especially Freudian psychologist) argue that the inclusion of porn in a relationship can spice things up. I believe it only masks deeper pains and issues as research (from the Banah group??) has shown that Active Evangelical Christian couples are the most satisfied with their sex lives in the world.

Anyway your post was obviously not about whether or not porn is evil or not. That's an entirely different issue for individuals to reach their own conclusions on.

In raising awareness against abuse of woman (which is indeed a good cause) I would hope that more research is done into the devastating effect that nudity leading to softcore leading to hardcore porn can have. Sadly it isn't. I'm sure there will be a lot of 10+ year olds (as I once was 18 years ago) who flip through mommies magazine looking for that sexual high that intoxicates the brain.

If anyone is interested in how you actually move towards breaking from a porn addiction with the help of people who don't judge you then check out xxxchurch.com The number 1 Christian porn site after all Jesus loves porn stars.

BTW I subscribe to your feed.

I know that topics such as this one can evoke strong feelings in people. No hard feelings toward anyone reading this.

A reminder once again that I have only seen the cover of the issue in question and I have no idea whether or not the christians referred to are responding with bigotry or like me with genuine concern for abused woman.
